
Vivian Vasallo currently directs partnership development and innovation at Fannie Mae at the intersection of health and housing. She leads the Sustainable Communities Innovation Challenge, a $10 million initiative catalyzing new ideas in housing and health, education and employment. Previously, as Vice President of Housing at AARP Foundation, she led a team in implementing national interventions including a $2.5 million impact investment portfolio, research and development, and played a central role in catalyzing the strategic infrastructure for Age Strong, an investment fund that has deployed more than $70 million to enterprises benefiting the low-income 50+. Vivian worked formerly as Vice President at First American Financial Services and as the Managing Director of the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging. In 2015, she undertook a sabbatical in Barcelona focused on Spanish impact investing and social enterprise.
Vivian has been a regular contributor to national media, including C-SPAN, Forbes, and Univision. She is a board member of HelpAge and has been recognized as an Independent Sector NGEN Fellow, Embassy of Spain’s Young Hispanic Leader Award and the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever Award. Vivian is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health and Aging at Georgetown University. She holds a BA from American University and MA from the University of Miami. She was appointed a Practitioner Affiliate at American University’s Masters of Social Enterprise program and holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
